This course contains elements of psychology, sociology and human biology. Throughout the course you will study:

The course covers areas such as:• Health, safety and security• Equality, diversity and rights• Communication• Anatomy and physiology• Psychology and sociologyYou will also gain work experience in a variety of settings such as residential homes, day centres, schools and nurseries and learn employability skills.

5 Cs at GCSE / 4s

Assessment

You will be assessed throughout the year using various methods such as case studies. group work, presentations, practical tasks, research and written assignments

Financial information

All full-time courses are free to 16-18 year olds who are an EU citizen

Future opportunities

Students can enter the health and social care industry or progress on to Higher Education in areas such as nursing, midwifery, teaching and social work.
