Applied Science Level 3 at Sowerby Bridge High School

Course description

This course combines the essential elements of advanced level Biology, Chemistry and Physics without the need to specialise at this level. It is a broader Science course which is geared to those students who enjoy Science and wish to work or study as a Scientist in the future. This could be Engineering, Nursing, Forensic work, Laboratory work or Medical Sciences. Topics covered include Working in the Science Industry, Chemical laboratory Techniques, Astronomy, Physiology of the Human Body, Medical Physics and Genetics and Genetical Engineering.

Entry requirements

A minimum of 5 GCSE passes A*-C or equivalent in 3 or more subject areas (CC grades required to study Science).
