English Literature AS Level at Aylesbury College

Course description

This course encourages students to develop an interest and enjoyment of literature. 

Course content

You will study drama and prose and encourages you to develop an interest and enjoyment of literature. This is achieved through reading widely, critically and independently across centuries, genre and gender.

Entry requirements

5 A*-C grade GCSEs, including Maths and English, with a B grade in the subjects related to this A Level.

Assessment

The course is made up of both coursework and exams.

Future opportunities

Once you have successfully completed the course, you can proceed onto A2 English Literature.

There are a number of positions that you could consider. These include Teaching, Journalism, Publishing and Advertising.
