Health and Social Care Diploma Level 2 at Sunderland College
This course is for people who are looking to progress into a career in health care, social care, or community work.
You’ll study the core values of working in the care sector. You will see how the needs of people can change over their lifetime and how care workers can meet those needs.
You’ll need a suitable Level 1 qualification or four GCSE’s at grade D or above including English Language and Mathematics. You’ll also need two references and to pass an interview with a member of the health and Care team.
The course is taught through classroom learning and directed study. You will be assessed through course work.
If you successfully complete the course with a Merit grade, you could progress on to a level 3 Health and Social Care course or a level 3 Children’s Care, Learning and Development course, subject to references from the level 2 teaching and placement staff.
