EAL Level 2 Diploma in Engineering & Technology at Kingston College

Course description

A full time, practical course for those interested in the design, development and manufacture of engineering products.

Course content

The course covers a wide range of engineering subjects and activities including workshop skills such as using hand tools and machines, making and testing electronic circuits, engineering materials, engineering mathematics and science. The course is divided into a number of units which are assessed using a variety of methods including practical activities, assignments and tests.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D/3 or above including Mathematics, Science and English or a Level 1 Award with two Merit grades including Mathematics or Science.

Future opportunities

To any BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering course or employment as an apprentice in an engineering company.

    • The site at Kingston Hall Road is the College's main site and houses the Student Registry and Welfare departments as well as Deli KC and the ACT Theatre.  The Arena Sports facility and Arena Hair and Beauty are both attached to this building, which also houses the central administration facility for the College.
