Religious Studies at All Saints School

Course description

Are you interested in the ‘big’ questions? Would you like to find out how philosophers have answered some of these issues? Would you like to study some of the ethical issues arising from life in the 21st Century? Are you interested in how people make ethical decisions?

The two main areas of study are the Philosophy of Religion and Religious Ethics. Students must be prepared to involve themselves in all academic disciplines - personal research, extensive reading; discussion work; written work and presentations.

The course will be assessed through two modules being taken in Year 12 to obtain AS level. This makes an excellent 4th option to support any of the other subjects, particularly Science. The next two modules will be taken in Year 13 to obtain A2.
