Art and Design Level 3 Diploma (90 Credit) at Aylesbury College

Course description

This course is designed to provide you with a wide range of skills for the creative industries. You will have access to modern purpose-built specialist studios and workshops, and will develop skills using industry standard computer programs. Creativity and experimentation is promoted throughout this course as you combine mediums to produce innovative exciting outcomes.

Course content

You will develop a diverse portfolio of Photography, Graphic Design and Mixed Media work. The course aims to develop “whole creative” - those who are able to produce work in a variety of modern creative mediums with skill which is expected by future employers and Higher Education.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at C or above, including English and/or Maths and a creative subject such as Art, Graphics, Photography or Textiles or a full Level 2 qualification at Merit grade or above. All applicants must bring a portfolio of work to their interview.


The course is 100% coursework.

Financial information

Studio fee of £116 at enrolment. The fee includes payment for a starter kit, funding for trips and materials used within the course. Time commitment: You will spend 3 full days per week at College.

Future opportunities

On completion, you can continue on to the BTEC Extended Diploma in Visual Arts.

This course is designed to allow you to enter junior positions in the Creative Industry with a skillset that will enable you to work effectively and creatively.
