Art & Design (Fine Art) AS & A Level at Coloma Convent Girls' School

Course description

Progressing from the excellent disciplines of GCSE Art the GCE concentrates on art and design practice and the integration of theory, knowledge and understanding. The A level qualification in Art and Design aims to develop creative, intellectual, imaginative and intuitive abilities. The work undertaken will be at times investigative, analytical, experimental, practical and expressive. Drawing is a core element for the study of art and design at GCE level; we will work with you to develop your aesthetic understanding, critical understanding, critical judgment and your knowledge of art and design in contemporary society and other times and cultures.
