Financial Studies Certificate (single option) Level 3 (Option Block A) at The North School
The Certificate in Financial Studies (CeFS) has been designed to encourage individuals to be inspired to meet their lifetime aspirations. This will be achieved by teaching them to apply the appropriate solution(s) from the wide range available within the evolving financial services marketplace.
The qualification will enable learners to make informed decisions regarding their finances. It will help them to become responsibloe borrowers and sensible saver, and to have an appreciation of the need for financial planning throughout their life.
The aim of the course is to provide opportuntities for students to develop the necessary skills and competencies to move on to further study or employment.
CeFS consists of two mandatory units:
Unit 1: Financial Capability for the Immediate and Short Term
Unit 2: Financial Capability for the Medium and Long Term
A minimum of 5 A* to C/9-4 grades at GCSE, including Maths and English
The course is 100% examination based, made up of two exams. Part one is multiple choice questions and part two is written essay style questions.
Students can achieve up to 70 UCAS points for the CeFS.
This qualification can provide a route to higher education and to a career in Financial Services. Upon completion students can study the Level 3 Diploma in Financial Studies (DipFS).
