IT BTEC level 3 (single award) at The Thomas Aveling School
Students have to undertake research and as such have a considerable choice as to what to include in their assignments. At all times we look to develop the personal experiences of the students offering opportunities for students to become independent learners, show self discipline and make conscious decisions based on the information they have gained.
A minimum of 5 GCSE passes at Grade A* - C is needed in subjects relevant to the course, or a Pass, Merit or Distinction in vocational qualification in IT (Level 2).
The BTEC gives learners the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised vocationally specific qualification to enter employment in the IT sector or to progress to higher education.
The qualification also gives learners the opportunity to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life.
