BTEC Level 3 - 90 credit diploma in health and social care *FEES PAYABLE* at Sackville School

Course description

The BTEC Level 3 diploma in health and social care consists of nine units. The course is
completed over 2 years and is equivalent to 1.5 GCE A levels. However, you can achieve the
level 3 BTEC subsidiary diploma by completing only six units and this is equivalent to one A level.
This can be completed either over the two year period or in a shorter time.
Compulsory Units of study
Developing effective Communication in health and social care
Equality, diversity and rights in health and social care
Health, safety and security in health and social care
Development through the life stages
In addition to this, five further units are studied from a wide variety choices. These include
modules on early years development, caring for adults with special needs and understanding
human behaviour.

Entry requirements

You should have 5 GCSEs (graded C or above) or equivalent. In addition, you should have the interest and potential to succeed in achieving the qualification
