Media Production - BTEC Extended Certificate in Creative Media Production (Level 2) at Hopwood Hall College
This course is for those who want a practical, work related course with ample opportunity for hands-on activity. It’s ideal for those who already have good portfolio/examples of creative work and want to work within the media industry.
The course has an emphasis on practical communication skills, allowing you to learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. The majority of our students on this course go on to pursue
courses in media related subjects in television, radio or film production, media studies, communications, journalism, marketing or public relations. In addition to contributing to the department’s radio station broadcasts, you will also participate in live
multi-media camera productions, such as our own award ceremonies, and complete a video project for an external client.

4 GCSEs grade D or above to include English and Mathematics.
No cost for 16-19 year olds.
After completing this course, the next step is to progress onto the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Media Production.
