Proficiency in Baking Skills - level 3 Diploma at Buxton & Leek College
This course is suitable for you if you're already working in a bakery or already have a Level 2 Craft Bakery qualification. It's also suitable if you have a Level 3 professional qualification in either food production or cookery skills.
You'll spend one day a week in college improving the bakery skills you developed at Level 2. Working with others as part of a team, you'll take part in practical sessions and portfolio building. There are also theory and IT sessions.
You'll gain the professional skills you'll need to work in a bakery setting.

You'll need a Level 2 qualification in Craft Bakery, Professional Cookery or Food Production.
You'll be assessed while carrying out tasks in college and your workplace, as well as through your portfolio and a question and answer session.
You'll be able to apply for supervisory or trainee management jobs or move on to a foundation degree here at the University of Derby Buxton.
