Diploma in Vehicle Maintenance Systems Level 1 at Ashford College

Course description

The course is made up of a core and optional units that make up credits for the qualification and prepare you to progress to a higher level vehicle maintenance and repair course. You will learn through both theory and practical motor vehicle sessions. There will be practical assessments and externally set examinations. Supported work experience will be arranged with your tutor. English and maths are an important part of the course, whether at functional skills or GCSE level.

Entry requirements

You will need four GCSEs at Grades D-G/3-1, including English and maths at minimum Grade E/2.

Future opportunities

Progress on to Level 2 Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, Intermediate Apprenticeship or other relevant qualification.
