Economics A Level *FEES PAYABLE* at Oundle School

Course description

Economics helps pupils to develop clear and logical thinking and an analytical approach to problem-solving, as well as to look for the wider implications of any economic event. The ability to discuss topics and write essays is important.

Entry requirements

Mathematics is often required, particularly for courses with a large

econometric element and will always strengthen an application.

Further Mathematics is strongly preferred at Cambridge. Bristol has

made it clear that it expects applicants to study at least one essay

Assessment

Paper 1 Markets and Market Failure 2 hours written examination [33.3%] 80 marks.

Paper 2 The National and International Economy 2 hours written examination [33.3%] 80 marks.

Paper 3 Economic Principles and Issues 2 hours written examination [33.3%] 80 marks.
