Acting (Theatre & Performance) BTEC Level 3 90 Credit/Extended Diploma at West Cheshire College

Course description

Are you an aspiring Actor, Director or Teacher, or are you interested in working in arts administration or arts in the community? Then this exciting course will give you the solid foundations you need. As well as being heavily focused on performance this course helps you to understand the industry and all the available career opportunities. It provides you with a thorough grounding and you will gain skills in a range of acting and performance styles, directing, scriptwriting and theatre in the community. You’ll also take part in performances, visit the theatre to watch professionals at work and take part in workshops led by visiting practitioners. You will be able to progress on to university, drama school or in to employment. On the first year of the course you will be enrolled on the BTEC Fasttrack Diploma and upon successful completion you may be able to progress to the 2nd year of the BTEC Extended Diploma in Acting (Theatre and Performance).

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grade C or above, preferably to include English, or a Merit grade for the Theatre, Performance and Production Diploma and successful completion of an acting workshop.

You will be continually assessed throughout the programme.
