Health and Social Care (Level 2) Diploma at Tresham College of Further and Higher Education
This course will introduce you to the world of work within health and social care settings. You will study a range of core, mandatory and optional units. This will cover units including: • human lifespan development • health and social care values • effective communication • equality and diversity • healthy living • human body systems and care of disorders • creative and therapeutic activities • understanding disability You will be required to undertake 1 day per week in a practical placement where you will take on the role of an employee in a variety of settings.
A range of GCSEs at D or above including English, maths and preferably science, OR a relevant Level 1 vocational qualification with equivalent Level 2 English and maths.
Written assignments throughout the programme and a work experience based assignment.
You will need to complete a DBS check at your own cost, approx. £44.
Level 3 study programme in Health and Social Care or Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator). Alternatively you could progress onto an Apprenticeship programme.
