Access to HE: Nursing at South Thames College
You'll study nursing, physiology, study skills, social psychology, English, maths, nutrition and IT. Many approaches to learning are used including individual and small/large group work. Academic and tutorial support is given throughout the course. Health and social care courses like this open up a huge range of career options to you. If you're an international student, please note that many UK universities will not accept you for a nursing degree if you are here on a visa.
You'll need to show knowledge of the subject and a commitment to research and study at this level. Many universities ask for GCSE English and maths A*-C for entry onto their courses so ideally you'll have these already. If you don't already have A*-C in GCSE English and maths, you can take an English and/or maths assessment with us and still get onto our Access course depending on your results. You should always check the entry requirements for the courses and universities you are interested in progressing onto.
Assessments take place throughout the course with essays, assignments, presentations, tests and exams. To gain the Access Diploma you'll need to achieve 60 credits with a minimum of 45 at Level 3.
Choose your university course and remember that South Thames runs university-level courses too so there could be something here that fits your career plans.
