City and Guilds Diploma in Aviation Level 2 at Stockton Riverside College
If you want to work in the aviation industry there are more opportunities than you might think. On our programmes you’ll learn about the roles both on the ground and in the sky, from cabin crew, security, passenger agents to air traffic control. Our team, who all have experience and skills of the industry, will help you work out where you want to be and give you the skills to stand out from the crowd.
Trained to industry standards that are as current as possible, the College’s industry links will ensure lessons are at the forefront of this rapidly evolving sector. You’ll learn about baggage processing, check in, dispatch, health and safety, aircraft marshalling and security. Lessons will include a mixture of theory and practical sessions along with educational visits and guest speakers. Our recent trips have included visits to London and New York.
You will be taught by experienced, up to date and skilled tutors who have a passion and enthusiasm for the industry. A wealth and varied selection of educational visits and industry guest speakers that will enhance your learning and evidence gathered will assist in completion of some units.
Assessments will vary from written reports to practical activities, using a wealth of resources including and aircraft mock up and check-in area, and some classroom based assessments.
After this course you could progress to a relevant Level 3 course such as the BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in Aviation Level 3.
