Environmental Studies A-Level at The Ridgeway School and Sixth Form College

Course description

What will I be studying?

At the current time environmental awareness and understanding are becoming increasingly important. In business and industry more and more environmental regulations are being introduced and the future demand for qualified individuals is set to increase significantly.

AS Level

Module 1: The Living Environment

Module 2: The Physical Environment

A Level

Module 3: Energy Resources and Environmental Pollution

Module 4: Biological Resources and Sustainability

Where can it take me?

Students with Science A Levels are welcomed in most careers and higher education courses. In addition A Level Environmental Studies will provide a very strong foundation for any environmentally related career, e.g. pollution control, agriculture, forestry, resource and waste management, conservation management and town and country planning.

Entry requirements

At least 4 C grades at GCSE (or equivalent) in at least 3 different subjects.
