Course description

What the subject is about: Mathematics is a challenging but interesting and rewarding subject to study at advanced level. Mathematics is a unique and powerful way of describing and communicating about the world. During the course students will have the opportunity to study calculus, trigonometry and algebra, as well as taking additional modules in mechanics and statistics. An advanced study of mathematics is highly regarded by many employers. It is an essential requirement for entry on to courses at Universities in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering and Physics and highly desirable for courses such as Computer Science, Pure and Applied Sciences, Economics and some Business degrees.

    •  We are the only secondary school in the Black Country to hold FA Centre status.  Students who attend the Football Academy will combine guided learning hours in the Football Academy alongside their Sixth Form subjects.  There is also the opportunity for students to stay on in Year 14 to follow our Apprenticeship Programme or to take advantage of the links we have with football coaching camps in the USA or our links with the University of Worcester to access higher education.
