The BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Health & Social Care provides candidates with a high quality, industry-recognized award. It is a vocationally-related qualification that provides valuable opportunities for individuals to develop and gain underpinning knowledge and understanding which will support entry into the health and social care sector.

 

Entry requirements

 

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Candidates will be expected to have a good standard of literacy and a level of industry knowledge appropriate for a person working at Level 2.

 

Assessment

 

The full certificate is gained by completing eight units in total over one year and the course is 100% coursework based. The coursework will be a mixture of both practical and written assignments.

 

Future opportunities

 

Provides progression for those wishing to study BTEC Level 3 National certificate in Health & Social Care or in another sector or A-Level
