Instructing Exercise & Fitness Apprenticeship includes:-Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Exercise & Fitness (conducted in the workplace)Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (off the job training)Level 2 Award in Employment Awareness in the Active Leisure (conducted in the workplace)Level 1 Functional Skills - MathsLevel 1 Functional Skills - EnglishThis qualification is aimed at students who wish to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry as a fitness instructor in the context of group exercise to music.
All prospective candidates will be interviewed and complete a skills scan and initial assessment. It is also expected that students have access to studio facilities and have taken part in exercise to music classes.
Although this qualification is predominantly work based observations the student is expected to complete and pass multiple choice theory papers, worksheets and practical examinations.
Successful students may progress to a higher level; level 3 Personal Training.
