Level 2 Hairdressing (Diploma) at Rotherham College
This course is capability based and forms part one of a two year course. Successful completion and development of skills will enable you to progress on to NVQ Level 2 in the second year. You will learn all aspects of the hairdressing industry and begin to develop your skills on family, friends, peers and tuition heads. This course also has the choice of a November start.

•GCSE Grade D or above in English or equivalent•Level 1 in Hairdressing•Excellent communication skills•Attend an interview and practical workshop with course tutor
Practical skills will be assessed in the salon on-going throughout the year. These assignments will be graded Pass, Merit or Distinction. You will also sit online multiple choice exams for each unit and provide a portfolio of evidence.
Learners aged under 19 are entitled to free tuition, so there will be no course fees to pay. Additional funding may be available depending on household income - please contact the Enquiry Team for further details.
You can continue upon your chosen pathway of Hairdressing by progressing on the Hairdressing Level 2 NVQ.
