This Apprenticeship can be applied across a broad range of sectors and job roles. Good managers and team leaders are essential to the success of any business, so the skills gained on this Apprenticeship are transferable and valuable.
Learning will be tailored to your industry, but it’s likely you’ll be responsible for the delivery of a service, or how other people carry out their work. You could be working as a shift leader, charge hand, section leader, team leader, floor manager, trainee manager, deputy manager, or supervisor.
During your Apprenticeship in Team Leading, you’ll learn the theories of team leading and how business works. You’ll manage your own workload; lead others; work effectively with other people; and learn how to get your point across through talking and discussion with others.
The following qualifications make up the apprenticeship framework:
OCR Diploma in Team Leading Level 2
Functional Skill in Maths – Level 1
Functional Skill in English – Level 1
Functional Skill in ICT – Level 1
(Functional Skills are required unless you have achieved GCSE Grades A-C in Maths and English within the last 5 years and have proof of certification)
Employment Rights and Responsibilities
All elements of the framework must be achieved to complete the apprenticeship.
Intermediate Apprenticeship – 12-14 months
You need to be working as a supervisor or team leader in any industry sector and be able to perform a range of tasks appropriate to a Level 2 standard.
You need to be able to demoinstrate good skills in numeracy, literacy and ICT
Assessment will include assessment in the workplace, producing a portfolio of evidence and sitting externally set and marked examinations for Functional Skills
This course is Government Funded
Completing this framework may provide you with the opportunity of secure a permanent position or promotion. You may also have to opportunityt to undertake an Advanced Apprenticeship in Management
Where will you train?
The majority of training will take place in your workplace although there may be a requirement for you to attend our centre either on a day release or in a number of days in a block. The amount of time varies depending upon your Apprenticeship.
