Design Technology Product Design at Denefield School

Course description

Product Design students will need to be confident at coming up with ideas at speed and developing an innovative approach to their work. They should be open to learning new practical skills and be able to manage their time effectively. They should be self-motivated andaspire to produce creative products to a high quality finish.

Year 12

  • Unit 1 Materials, components & applications: 2hour written exam paper
  • Unit 2 Learning through designing & making

  • Unit 4 Design and making practice

  • Entry requirements

    To study the full range of AS Level subjects you will need to have achieved an average of 46 points from your GCSE qualifications (mostly B grades +) and, a minimum of B grades in science and/or mathematics should you be applying to study these subjects.
