The course for you if ...
You'd like to increase your confidence and skills in preparation for employment.

You will also study Functional Skills, which include Maths and English, as well as the opportunity to undertake work placements and receive support to plan your career.
You don’t need formal educational requirements, but you should have basic Maths and English skills, be an independent traveller and be able to cope with a busy college environment.
You will complete an employability and personal development portfolio and be assessed in Functional Skills.
You may be able to take another course at TyneMet College at Level 1, or you could move into full-time training for work, or take up job opportunities including supported employment.
