Course description: The travel and tourism sector spans across a variety of different component industries from transport, hospitality, recreation and regulatory bodies. Because of this it is an exciting industry to look into, discovering what motivates people to go on holiday and where they want to go, how worldwide events can have a knock-on effect to destinations, to challenge the need for development in terms of safety, security and tourism spending and also to investigate the effect of regeneration for communities and tourists alike.

The travel and tourism environment offers a huge range of exciting career opportunities for young people who have an interest in working in business, both at home or abroad.

Throughout the course Learners will be able to research into a variety of travel and tourism destinations both local and worldwide, take part in role plays and presentations and produce news reports to put theory into context.
