Information Technology (QCF) Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Diploma at Farnham College
If you like the “hands-on” approach to learning, this course will provide you with the opportunity to gain the skills you need to kick-start your career and a nationally recognised qualification.
The course is delivered by well qualified, enthusiastic and friendly IT/Computing teachers and offers a clear route into employment or Higher Education.
Study is work-related and addresses the key knowledge and practical skills required in the IT/Computing sector.
The course encompasses topics such as Networking, Computer Systems and Website Development.
It is equivalent to two A Levels and is a full time course comprising 12 units.
4 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English Language.
Assessment is based on coursework, enabling you to achieve the specific learning goals set out by the exam board.
Information Technology degree or careers as a technician or programmer.
All 16-19 year olds on full-time programmes will be required to retake GCSE English and Maths or to undertake Functional Skills, if they have not already attained the equivalent of a GCSE grade C in these subjects, every year of their course, until they complete their studies.
