Information Technology BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma at Queen Mary's College

Course description

This is a Level 3 vocational course aimed at students who have a strong interest in IT and may wish to become IT professionals. It is the equivalent of 3 A Levels. Successful students may either get a job or proceed to Higher Education to do a Higher National Diploma (HND) or a degree. You will study 18 units over a two year period covering a wide range of ICT and computing related topics including networks, computer systems, programming, web design and animation and business IT systems. The BTEC National Diploma is a practical, work-related course. You learn by completing assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. As well as learning about the employment area you have chosen, you develop the skills you need to start or progress a career.
