Course description

Religious studies is a thought provoking subject that requires you to re-evaluate the ever changing world we live in. Students enjoy Religious Studies as it provides them with an excellent opportunity to engage with modern contentious issues, developing social, cultural, political, philosophical and historical awareness. If you are intrigued by the world and people and reasons why we are the way we are today, then Religious Studies is the subject for you!

Course content

This course provides students with an understanding of the key philosophical and ethical questions that shape our world today like how do we know truth? It helps students to understand the nature of logic, truth and reasoning through the analysis of philosophical arguments. Students gain critical and evaluative skills that allow them to organise ideas into their own coherent argument/ reasoning developing core skills of literacy.
