Unit 1 - The Business Environment The aim of this unit is to give you the fundamental knowledge of a range of business organisations, and the many factors that shape the nature of organisations operating in an increasingly complex business world.
Unit 2 - Business Resources
The aim of this unit is to develop your knowledge of the range of human, physical, technological and financial resources required in an organisation, and how the management of these resources can impact on business performance.
Unit 3 - Introduction to Marketing
The aim and purpose of this unit is to give you an understanding of how marketing, research and planning and the marketing mix are used by all organisations.
Unit 4 - Business Communication
The aim of this unit is to show you that the collection and management of business information, and the successful communication of that in information throughout a business, is critical for the future prosperity of the organisation.
The final 2 units can vary depending on which pathway the class wish to specialise in. These include Management, Accounting, Human Resources, Marketing, Law, General, Administration, Logistics and Retail.
Although it is not necessaru to have studied Business Studies or related courses previously, you need to have an active interest in business matters and be numerically competent.Stdents also need to be able to write clearly, think logically and be able to apply business knowledge to real life business sitations.
