Pharmacy Apprenticeship at West Cheshire College

Course description

The Apprenticeship and Advanced Apprenticeship in Pharmacy are designed to provide the skills needed for Dispensing Technicians. Both schemes are supported by the Science and Technology Training Organisation and the National Pharmaceutical Association. Apprentices work towards achieving the NVQ in Pharmacy Services Level 2 and the Pharmacy Services BTEC National Certificate Level 2. On the Advanced Apprenticeship Apprentices work towards achieving the NVQ in Pharmacy Services Level 3 and the Pharmacy Services BTEC National Certificate Level 3. On both Apprenticeships candidates are encouraged to develop their Key/Functional skills.

On the Apprenticeship you will work towards achieving the NVQ in Pharmacy Services Level 2 and the Pharmacy Services BTEC National Certificate Level 2.

On the Advanced Apprenticeship you will work towards achieving the NVQ in Pharmacy Services Level 3, and Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science.

Entry requirements

This Apprenticeship would suit those who are currently working in the sector and would like to work and gain a recognised qualification.

Future opportunities

Dispensing Technician, in either community or Hospital pharamcies.
