Future opportunities

The study of a foreign language enhances job opportunities in our globalised world and its importance must not be ignored, particularly as a secondary skill.  Many students go on to university to study diverse subjects with a language, e.g. business, economics, law, engineering and chemistry.  A student who has studied a language at A Level finds him/herself increasingly valued by future employers.  It can also be a springboard for the study of other languages.  Studying a language opens doors to all sorts of careers – whether in this country or abroad.
