This course will help you develop an awareness of what it is like to work in the health and social care sector and early years settings. You will cover a range of topics aimed at meeting the needs of employment in this area and your course will also include work experience.

Entry requirements

You will need to have a genuine interest in childcare and/or health &social care and be working at entry level 3 for literacy and numeracy. You will require a clear Criminal Records Bureau Check (CRB).

Assessment

There will be a selection of written tasks, direct observation in the workplace setting and professional discussions with your Assessor.

Future opportunities

You may progress to a level 2 course or an apprenticeship. Alternatively you may seek employment in a nursery.
