Entry 2 Qualification in Employability and Independence Skills at Hadlow College

Course description

By studying this foundation learning course at Hadlow College, you will develop your independence and work related skills in a vocational environment. We have a range of courses that cover the land-based curriculum, enabling you to study subjects you enjoy whilst gaining a practical understanding of the sector.

Course content

Through practical experience within the College you will gain an in-depth understanding of the skills needed to develop independence and work readiness. Your course will be linked with the outcomes in your Education, Health and Care Plan. Supported work related learning or placements will enhance your employability skills development including English, mathematics and ICT.

Entry requirements

This course is designed for students who have Entry 2 Requirements, applicants should demonstrate an interest in the curriculum area and have achieved Entry Level 1 mathematics and English. As part of the study programme you will be offered a meeting to discuss the support and intervention you may require to successfully access your course.

Future opportunities

Successful students can progress within the Foundation Studies programme to the next entry level and have the opportunity to study within vocational land based areas that they enjoy. Alternatively, they can explore employment or supported employment opportunities within the industry.

      Providing land-based education on the outskirts of London, our Mottingham campus offers full and part-time courses in a range of subjects. Comprising similar facilities to Canterbury, the animal unit provides specialist facilities for the housing of aquatics, reptiles and small mammals. Aviaries and grazing paddocks for goats and pigs complement the woodland, glasshouses and garden design area.
