IT Practitioners Diploma (Networking CCNA & IT Hardware) Level 3 at Richmond Adult Community College

Course description

This is an industry recognised Full Level 3 qualification providing an ideal preparation for students aiming to work in the IT industry or for those already working in IT who want to enhance their skills. The times for this course are Wed 09.30 - 17.30 and Friday 9.30 - 17.30. The course embeds CISCO Accreditation within a Diploma in IT User Skills at Level 3. There is an embedded career development unit which allows you to work with an individual personal development plan.

Course content

Cisco CCNA Explorer Curriculum (CCNA1,2,3 and 4) Network Operating Systems, Network Fundamentals, Routing Protocols and Concepts, LAN Switching and Wireless, Wide Area Network Technologies Wireless LANs, DHTI+, IT Study Skills Units Computer Hardware and operating Systems Career Development Information Management - MS Outlook Database Software

Entry requirements

Students should have a good knowledge of ICT systems and/or already work within the IT industry and a good standard of numeracy and literacy prior to considering this course

Assessment

Learners will be assessed formally through coursework which will be a combination of written work, production of artefacts, presentations, projects, observations etc. This is a level 3 course and all student work is externally moderated by the relevant board.
