Hairdressing Apprenticeship Level 2 at Waltham Forest College

Course description

If you enjoy being creative and like working with people then you'll enjoy a career in the hairdressing or beauty therapy industry. We offer a range of courses with the staff and facilities to equip you with the skills to get one of the many jobs available in these fields. Our brand new industry standard Forest Hair and Beauty Salons will ensure that you gain commercial experience, as they provide an in-demand service to the general public. Our students regularly take part in hair and beauty exhibitions and events such as the annual Total Look Hair and Beauty Competition.

4 GCSEs at Grade D and above including English and Maths or Hairdressing Diploma Level 1 or Beauty Diploma Level 1

      Trains run to Walthamstow Central from Liverpool Street station (a bus can then be taken to the College, see below). Wood Street station is approximately a 10-minute walk from the College.

      Tube:

      The Victoria Line ends at Walthamstow Central, which is approximately a 15-minute walk to the College. Alternatively, you can get a bus, see below.

      Bus:

      From Walthamstow Central:Bus 275 stops outside the College, 212 stops across the road from the College (Shernhall Street). Buses 97, 357, 34 or 215 stop at the 'Bell Corner' (junction of Hoe Street and Forest Road). From here, the College is approximately five-minute walk.

      From Blackhorse Road Tube Station: Bus 123 also stops outside the College on route between Tottenham and Ilford
