This Professional Cookery VRQ Level 2 course is designed to provide an intermediate level of cookery skills to those employed within the Catering and Hospitality industry and who are looking to become a Commis Chef.
Food safety in catering
Investigate the catering and hospitality industry
Health and safety in catering and hospitality
Healthier foods and special diets
VRQ Level 1 or equivalent
4 GCSEs at Grade D or above including a good standard of English and Maths
You will also require the following equipment: Chef's whites, restaurant uniform, knives and some small items of equipment
Observation and knowledge questions
Practical assessments and assignments
Progression to a course in Professional Cookery Advanced Technical Diploma Level 3, or employment within the industry or University to study Hospitality and Catering.
