Travel and Tourism BTEC Level 3 90 Credit Diploma at Waltham Forest College

Course description

There are a host of careers opportunities available in the Travel and Tourism industry. We have a team of qualified professional staff who will equip you with the necessary skills needed to succeed. Students have the opportunity to participate in off-site visits to national locations. These are enjoyable activities, which are designed to help you with your coursework.
This course is the equivalent to 1.5 A' Levels.

Course content

You will study units such as:
Customer service in Travel and Tourism
Marketing for Travel and Tourism
Preparing for employment
European destinations
World-wide destinations plus other exciting unit

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at Grade C or above including English and maths at Grade D or above (Merit or equivalent)
Travel and Tourism Level 2 (Full qualification only)
A passion for travel
Assessment and intervie

Assessment

You will be assessed internally using a range of methods such as written reports, observations, presentations and posters.

Future opportunities

The BTEC Level 3 90 Credit Diploma in Travel is equivalent to 1.5 A 'levels and is designed to be the first year of the Extended Diploma in Travel (3 A' Levels) which can lead to a range of excellent degree courses at university.

      Trains run to Walthamstow Central from Liverpool Street station (a bus can then be taken to the College, see below). Wood Street station is approximately a 10-minute walk from the College.

      Tube:

      The Victoria Line ends at Walthamstow Central, which is approximately a 15-minute walk to the College. Alternatively, you can get a bus, see below.

      Bus:

      From Walthamstow Central:Bus 275 stops outside the College, 212 stops across the road from the College (Shernhall Street). Buses 97, 357, 34 or 215 stop at the 'Bell Corner' (junction of Hoe Street and Forest Road). From here, the College is approximately five-minute walk.

      From Blackhorse Road Tube Station: Bus 123 also stops outside the College on route between Tottenham and Ilford
