IT Users - Level 2 NCFE at West Thames College

Course description

This course prepares students for employment and focuses on computer applications and skills valued by employers.

Course content

You will study the following core units:

  • Improving productivity using IT
  • Understanding the potential of IT
  • Developing personal and team effectiveness using IT

You will also study a mix of further units that include:

  • Using the internet
  • Spreadsheet software
  • Setting up IT systems
  • Database software
  • Optimising system performance

Entry requirements

2 or more GCSEs at grade D / grade 3 or above or successful completion of a Level 1 course with functional skills in English and maths. If you need advice before you apply, please call 020 8326 2020 or .


You will be expected to complete a number of assignments for each unit which are internally assessed and externally verified by the awarding body.
