Sports and Exercise Science BTEC Level 3 Diploma at Stockley Academy

Course description

As a performer, you should want to know more about the body functions and the effects of exercise and want to evaluate and improve your own and other performance in a range of sports roles. This course has links into many sporting subject areas at university and many of the skills we learn through sport can be transferred into a variety of working situations. It links well with any PE or Sports Science course but also has a lot of transferable skills to Psychology, Sociology and Biology.

Entry requirements

Minimum 5 A-C including a C or above at GCSE PE

Assessment

60% coursework
40% examination
9 units: 6 coursework units and 3 examinations

Develop a theoretical understanding of each area and then be able to practically put each concept into place. Teaching will combine a mixture of teacher led, group work and individual work.
