Course description

This course is designed for students looking to progress onto higher education courses or a successful career in event production and live sound. Developing practical event production skills and techniques are key to this course. Live sound, lighting, event management and career development modules will develop technological, personal and academic skills.

Entry requirements

Entry to the course depends on a successful interview based on your qualifications and experience. English and maths may be retaken alongside this course if necessary.

Future opportunities

Students successfully completing the Subsidiary Diploma can progress onto the Extended Diploma in Music Event Production and Management. This second year of study includes modules covering Live Sound FOH and monitors, Music Stage Management, Live Sound Design and Freelance Working. Further progression is available through the colleges' HND in Popular Music Practice followed by our Top-Up Degree. Higher Education at a university in a related subject or related work in the music industry are also options.
