Course description
This course will give you an introduction to applied science, looking at basic principles in biology, physics and chemistry. It will develop your skills and knowledge and prepare you for further training. You will explore the different areas and organisations in which science is used, and look at what jobs and careers are available.
Entry requirements
You'll need two GCSEs A-E or equivalent and will need to undertake an interview and assessment.

Future opportunities
You could progress to the BTEC Diploma in Applied Science Level 2 at the college. Alternatively, you may enter initial employment as an assistant science technician or assistant practitioner in a wide variety of roles in the science industry.
