Hairdressing Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3) at South & City College Birmingham

Course description

A hairdressing apprenticeship is a combination of on and off the job training and learning, and offers the opportunity to develop a rewarding, long-term career in a growing sector.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but ideally candidates should be educated to level 2 and must be working within the field and ideally working over 30 hours per week. All candidates will need to attend an information session before starting the programme. All candidates will need to undertake a literacy & numeracy assessment prior to starting the apprenticeship training.

Future opportunities

On completion of Advanced Apprenticeship learners will be able to operate as a stylist, other progression routes include working for a product company as a technician, assessor, own your own salon, manage a salon on behalf of someone else and lecturer.
