Gold Arts Award (Enrichment) at Hillview School for Girls
Completing the Gold Arts Award will deepen students’ knowledge and experience of the arts. It involves taking part in the arts, researching the world of the arts and taking responsibility for leading an arts project.
The Gold Arts Award is split into two units.
Unit 1: Personal Arts Development
Unit 2: Arts Project Leadership.
To gain the qualification, students will explore a new art form and create original work. They will work alongside artists, research current issues affecting the arts, and their arts leadership project will include a public showing.
Students will create a portfolio for their Gold Arts Award, containing evidence of their work, their plans, and demonstrating their development.
Any Student meeing the Hillview Sixth Form entry criteria is eligible for this course.
The Gold Arts award is a Level 3 qualification and a source of UCAS points when applying for university. It is designed to develop students’ knowledge, skills, organisation and leadership skills within the arts.
