Course description

Would you like to go into product design, aerospace, manufacturing, electronics, electrical engineering, or the automotive industry as a project leader or designer? Engineering covers a broad variety of roles involving the application of scientific principles and practical knowledge to transform ideas and materials into products and systems safely and support them during their lifetime.

Course content

Year 1

Engineering Principles (external exam)

Delivery of Engineering Processes Safely as a Team

Year 2

Engineering Product Design and Manufacture (external assessment)

Optional Unit to be decided by Course Leader

Entry requirements

Either BTEC Engineering
Level 2 – Merit or GCSE
Mathematics – B grade

Assessment

All Units internally assessed.
