Further Mathematics A Level at Waingels College

Course description

The A Level Mathematics course is split into mandatory content and options in a 1-1 split. The mandatory topics covered include Proof, Complex Numbers, Matrices, Further Vectors, Polar Coordinates, Hyperbolic Functions and Differential Equations. In the options section, the topics covered can be drawn from all the applied strands of Statistics, Mechanics and Decision. An AS qualification can be taken in Year 12.

Entry requirements

Standard entry requirements, plus a Grade 7 in Maths at GCSE. Students must have also chosen to study the Maths A Level.

Our students have gone on to study Mathematics at University, as well as a wide variety of other disciplines including Accountancy, Physics, Economics, Computer Science, Biology and Geography.
