Sport (Option 2) BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Sport at Waingels College

Course description

Pearson has developed the content of the BTEC in collaboration with employers and representatives from higher education and relevant professional bodies to ensure that content is up to date and that it includes the knowledge, understanding, skills and attributes required in sport. The mandatory and optional content provides a balance of breadth and depth, while retaining a degree of choice for individual learners to study content relevant to their own interests and progression. The content may be applied during delivery in a way that is relevant to the student and local employment needs.

Entry requirements

Standard entry requirements and preferably at least a C grade at GCSE PE or Merit in Cambridge National Level 2 Sport Science.

Assessment

9 units of which 6 are mandatory and 3 are external.

Future opportunities

BSC Sports Science, BA Coaching, BA Sports Management, BSC Exercise & Health, BSC Physiotherapy, PGCE in PE to name a few.
