Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) (QCF) Level 3 at Jarvis Training Management Limited
The early years sector provides support for babies, children and families through effective partnership working.
The qualification provides an opportunity to build on your knowledge and understanding of early years practice and will train you in becoming an Early Years Educator, working with children from 0-5 years of age, as well as gaining knowledge of working with
children aged 5-7 years.
As part of this course, our learners will complete 23 mandatory units undertaken in at least 2 different settings to cover the age ranges.
To fully complete the framework, we also require completion of employment rights and responsibilities (unless completed at level 2) and personal learning and thinking skills.
In order to apply for this course you must be at least 16 years old.
Further to this, you must either already possess or be working towards GCSE Maths and English in order to obtain grades A* - C; by the end of this programme.
This also applies if you intend to apply for a Learning Loan rather than being funded via an apprentice route.
Please note, that self funded learners are the exception and do not require maths and English GCSE grade A*- C.
You will be required to attend an interview and undertake a maths and English initial assessment once you have applied for this course.
Assessors will be assigned to learners in order to provide guidance and training throughout your qualification.
Assessment is carried out in the workplace and during workshops which are scheduled to deliver the underpinning knowledge and understanding for the completion of compulsory assignments.
Electronic portfolios are utilised by our learners for them to upload and safely collate their evidence. This allows our assessors to continuously assess their learner's work and subsequently provide feedback, so their learners can improve and successfully complete their qualification within the timing constraints.
